Bone Paste Plus /3,63 kg
Bone Paste Plus is a blend of cement, pozzolan, and polymer that is specially formulated for filling voids in artisan cast concrete. The paste doesn’t have any large particles, so it is soft and smooth, allowing it to easily fill holes and voids. The only necessary additive for the Bone Paste Plus is water, as it already has polymer blended into the formula. Pigment can be added to achieve whatever the desired color shade is.
Add between 1/4 and 1/3 cup of water per 1 cup of Bone Paste Plus and mix to a yogurt-like consistency. When pigmenting with a color from the Buddy Rhodes Signature Color Collection™, add approximately 1.5 teaspoons of pigment to 1 cup of Bone Paste Plus.
Bone Paste Plus does not contain any sand. This means it will produce a different surface and color finish than the base concrete. When filling larger voids, you can add 1 part fine sand to 1 part Bone Paste Plus to reduce shrinkage cracks.

Mixing Instructions
Add between 1/4 to 1/3 cup of water per 1 cup of Bone Paste Plus and mix to a yogurtlike consistency. Bone Paste Plus does not contain any sand. This means it will produce a different surface and color finish than the base concrete. When filling larger voids, you can add 1 part fine sand to 1 part Bone Paste Plus to reduce shrinkage cracks.
Application
The process is similar to applying drywall compound. Bone Paste Plus is applied to your finished piece to fill in holes, allowed to dry (typically overnight), and then polished away. Some shrinkage of the material will occur as it dries. For this reason, fill voids larger than 6mm a little at a time, allowing time for the material to dry between layers.
Various tools and applicators can be used to apply Bone Paste Plus depending on the desired look. You can use a drywall knife, putty knife, plastic spreaders, sponges, or even cloths to apply. If you are going for a multicolor effect, such as in the Craftsman Mix Press Technique, you can apply multiple colors of Bone Paste Plus, one after another, wiping each in a different direction after the previous layer has dried. Be sure to apply a full "skim coat" of the final color,; not so much that you will have to polish forever, but enough to assure that you fill all the voids.
Pigment
Buddy Rhodes Bone Paste Plus can be colored with any of the Buddy Rhodes pigment collection to almost any desired color. When pigmenting with a color from the Buddy Rhodes Signature Collection™, add approximately
1.5 teaspoons of pigment to 1 cup of Bone Paste Plus.
Polishing and Sanding
You'll likely want to sand or polish Bone Paste Plus off after it has dried to make it flush and smooth with the concrete surface. It is best to begin the polishing process between 24 and 48 hours after applying the last
layer. You can use 120-200 grit diamond pads at this stage. After 48 hours the material will become quite hard, requiring coarser diamond abrasives and a lot more work to remove, so plan to do your polishing during that
window of time and have your polishing tools and materials ready. We recommend wet polishing if possible.
