Free Form Air
Free Form® AIR is an extremely lightweight epoxy putty suitable for an infinite variety of industrial and art-related applications. This is a low-odor, low shrinkage putty that is unique, inexpensive and easy to use. Free Form® AIR is mixed by hand with a 1A:1B by volume mix ratio. It offers a long working time and cures overnight at room temperature to a hard, rigid epoxy that is very strong with modeling board-like properties. Cured Free Form® AIR is so lightweight, it will float in water. It can be sanded, shaped, drilled, tapped and CNC machined/routered. It will readily accept any paint. Free Form can also be color pigmented with SO-Strong® or Ignite® colorants.
After mixing, Free Form® AIR can be pressed into a mold to make a lightweight, detailed casting. It will hold vertical surfaces and can be applied to almost any surface including polystyrene foam for rough sculpting.
Free Form® putty can also be used to make rigid support shells or mother molds.
Epoxy Laminating; Laminate Free Form® AIR putty in between layers of EpoxAmite® Laminating Epoxy and fiberglass cloth, carbon or other fiber for making lightweight composite parts. Eliminates the need to make multiple layers of laminating with liquid epoxy; saves time and labor.
Epoxy Tooling Applications – use as a filleting material. Also good for jig and fixture construction.
Used as a lightweight adhesive, Free Form® AIR will bond to itself and a variety of surfaces including wood, stone and EpoxAcoat® Red surface coat epoxy. Free Form® AIR will even cure under water.
Pot Life/Working Time; this material is mass sensitive. The more material you mix at one time, the less time you have to work with it. Working tip; If mixing a large quantity, flatten putty with a rolling pin to reduce mass concentration and extend pot life.
- Thickness; 3.81 cm – pot life is 30 minutes, handling time is 2.5 hours, full cure in 24 hours.
- Thickness; 0.95 cm – pot life is 60 minutes, handling time is 4 hours, full cure in 24 hours.
- Thickness; 0.32 cm - pot life is 120 minutes; handling time is 8 hours, full cure in 24 hours.
Free Form Sculpt
Free Form Sculpt
Free Form® SCULPT is a two part sculpt-able epoxy clay that requires no firing and will self-cure in a short time to an extremely hard and durable state with virtually no shrinkage. SCULPT is 30% lighter than similar products and holds vertical surfaces better. Users can sculpt larger, stronger pieces with more control over weight distribution. Free Form SCULPT has an ultra fine particle size that gives the user the ability to sculpt finer detail with better precision using tools or shaping by hand.
Parts A & B are mixed in equal amounts by hand. Working time is a long 1.5 hours and Free Form® SCULPT cures overnight to a hard, rigid epoxy that is very strong and waterproof. SCULPT is easily colored by adding SO-Strong color tints to create marble or other effects. Cured putty is easily painted with acrylic paints.
Free Form® SCULPT does not contain crystalline silica (which is a known carcinogen). It can be safely sanded, shaped, and painted.
Used as a repair adhesive, Free Form® SCULPT will bond to itself and a variety of surfaces including wood, metal, glass, stone, and concrete. Free Form® SCULPT will even cure under water.
Free Form Habitat Black
Free Form Habitat Black
Free Form® Habitat® Black Epoxy Putty is a mix-by-hand putty that is used to create textured or highly detailed display pieces. Habitat® Black is solvent-free and contains no VOC's.
Working time is 60 minutes and cure time is 16 hours at room temperature at 73°F / 23°C. Epoxy cures to a very hard, heat resistant material that is easily painted.
Use with Habitat® Folding Powder – fold powder into epoxy putty to thicken and reduce sag when applied to a vertical surface. Folding Powder also reduces stickiness and makes the epoxy more handle-able.
Once putty is applied, it can be stamped with a silicone rubber stamp to create repeating patterns with intricate detail over a large surface area. Surface can be smoothed with alcohol or water. New Habitat® Black will bond to cured Habitat® Black without delamination. Habitat® Black will not melt foam, and can be used as an EPS foam coating.
Habitat® Black is suitable for interior and exterior use. It is certified "aquarium safe" and used by aquariums to create hyperrealistic coral and other aquarium displays. Habitat® Black is also used for general sculpting and theming applications.

Free Form Detailer
Free Form Detailer
Free Form Detailer® is a low viscosity liquid that makes adding details and detail effects to the surface of Free Form Sculpt® Epoxy Putty easy.
Control and Precision - Detailer® liquid enhances sculpting precision which allows you to quickly integrate dynamic strokes, fine lines, minute, and repeating texture details (such as hair, fur, or feathering). With Free Form Detailer® You can also smooth, stamp, extrude, etc.
Detailer® keeps putty from sticking to sculpting tools and will not pull or stretch putty. Keeping tools clean means no build up and greater accuracy when sculpting.
The more Detailer® you apply, the more workable the putty surface becomes; giving you a broader range of possible surface textures and finishes.
Applied as a finishing coat, Detailer® will leave a glossy surface.
Unlike water or general purpose solvents, Detailer® does not leave a chalky residue on uncured or cured epoxy and does not affect paint adhesion. Detailer® can also be used for clean-up and will help loosen and remove uncured epoxy from most solid surfaces.
