HX-CECO Powder Latex Thickener™ this powdered filler blends well with liquid latex rubber to increase thickness for brushing onto vertical surfaces. It can aid in reducing the number of layers needed to make a mold and save time. You can also thicken the latex to the point of being good for filling deep indentations and undercuts.

BE CAREFUL - Avoid use if you have known allergies to natural latex. Avoid contact with eyes. Flush eyes with water for 15 minutes and seek medical attention. Remove from skin with waterless hand cleaner followed by soap and water. Children should not use thisproduct without adult supervision.

GENERAL PREPARATION:

Store and use material at room temperature 23°C. This product has a limited shelf life and should be used as soon as possible. Colder temperatures will slow the working/cure time,while warmer temperatures will reduce working time. Wear safety glasses, long sleeves and rubber gloves to minimize contamination risk. Wash thoroughly after handling. Do not eat, drink or smoke in the work area. Keep container closed when not in use

MIXING AND CURING

An acurrate gram scale is needed. Add 5% to 15% to the latex by weight only after the 4th or 5th layer of unfilled latex has been applied. Mix thoroughly into a thin paste or putty. When the mixture can hold a verticle without sagging or dripping, it is ready for use. Applying to thick of a layer will cause drying issues with the latex layer it is applied in. HX-CECO Powder Latex Thickener™ can also extend the dry time of a latex layer by a few hours depending on thickness and ambient temp. HX-CECO Powder Latex Thickener™ can also be mixed with the latex and added to the flange to help the rubber mold maintain its shap
