These silicones are used for a myriad of applcations like masks and appliances in special effects, broken glass effects, dummys and dolls, animations, proshetics etc.
Budget Mould Making
FormX home branded silicones offer a budget solution for mold making challenges. For affordable and excellent moulds it is also worth to have a look at our quality Polyurethane Moulding Compounds
Silicon Putty
Silicon putty's can be mixed and applied by hand. They have little working time and cure rapidly. This is why they are ideal for on site applications in hard to reach places. Used for duplication / restauration of historical sites and artifacts. Moulding of lifestock. Moulding of picture frames etc.
Clear and Translucent Silicones
Clear and Translucent Silicones
These silicones are translucent or clear and can be used for a variety of special effects and mold-making applications. They can be easiliy pigmented with our Silg-Pig piments or our FormX Siltone pigments. Clear molds are favored for rapid prototyping to be able to visually cut out the original model.
Brush-On
Brush-On Moulding Silicones are highly viscous silicones that can be brushed onto vertical surfaces without sagging. Generally applied in multiple layers they allow for easy and consistant mould making. Extremely suitable for the fabrication of "glove molds" that can be pulle from the original like a sock.
Mold-Max Stroke is a Chemical thickened silicone that is ready to brush-on. Other Mold-Max Series Silicones can be thickened with Thi-vex for brush-on applications.
We also include Brush-On 35 Polyurethane in this listing because , though strictly speaking not being a silicone, it forms an excellent alternative for strong and dimensional stable brush-on molds.
